The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Hello my lovely watchers! (And perhaps passersby on my page!)

It's been a really busy and stressful month over here! First the move, the money problems, our car breaking down, food, EVERYTHING AT ONCE! Life kicks you in the butt sometimes and it sucks, but I'm sure a lot of you know what it's like! Happens to the best of us. Well! I guess I'll give you all some updates!

Money is still tight, but the few doodle commissions I got really helped tide us over the past couple weeks and I really appreciate your support! And now that I've got most of my fleece unpacked and my sewing things organized FOR THE MOST PART, I can start making/working on hats again to make extra money to keep us afloat! Now, by no means is it gonna be easy the next few months.. I won't go into detail, but with my mom's disability trying to get set in place after her stroke, making ends meet+Affording food is not going to be an easy task. I'll probably be making plenty of hats to put up for sale to help support us, And while it's going to be a challenge to make ends meet, I know soon as things even out in a few months we'll be okay! it's jut surviving the next few months that will be the hard part! I'm sure we can make it work, I'm just gonna have to work really hard. :]

On the topic of hats and Commissions, I've made a lot of progress today! I had a great livestream with Tophe and Errorfactor today (Error is amazingly nice I might add, just putting that out there. -More mental hugs-) and I made great leaps in my to-do list! Three hats done, and the other two very near completion! Once I'm done these hats, I'll work on this Chespin hat I've been wanting to make, and work on the last of my drawn commissions as well! I've got a super cool icon set I was commissioned to make that I haven't worked on recently that I need to get back into again, as well as a NSFW doodle for Razzy, and a doodle sheet of a really cool angel/human character! But you have no idea man, no idea how good it's going to feel to clear my to-do list. Aaaah yissssssssss.
